In two video interviews, Dr. Mylin Torres, associate professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, uncovers what can be done to alleviate breast cancer side effects and the benefits of a reduced course of treatment.

Many women who undergo treatment for breast cancer report side effects of fatigue, depression and anxiety. Winship clinician and researcher at the Glenn Family Breast Center, Dr. Mylin Torres is investigating why and what can be done to alleviate the symptoms.

Dr. Torres is one of the radiation oncologists at the Glenn Family Breast Center at Winship who is using a reduced course of radiation therapy to treat women. She describes the impact on the quality of life of women going through treatment.
