Drew Moghanaki, MD, MPH, is a board certified radiation oncologist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Moghanaki practices general radiation oncology and specializes in lung cancer and prostate cancer. He serves as section chief of radiation oncology at the Atlanta VA Health Care System.

Dr. Moghanaki is a member, advisor, advocate, and chair of multiple committees for national organizations that include American Cancer Society, American Society of Radiation Oncology, Lung Cancer Alliance, and Lungevity Foundation. He has been awarded over $34 million for national multi-site cancer research and implementation projects that have a focus on early detection and treatment for patients with early stage lung cancer. He is also a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at Winship Cancer Institute.

Dr. Moghanaki currently chairs the genitourinary scientific track for the American Society of Radiation Oncology, a position he has held since 2016. He was also the former director of brachytherapy services at the VA medical center in Richmond, Virginia where he led a national referral program for veterans with prostate cancer.


Dr. Moghanaki received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he also completed an internship in general surgery. He completed his residency in radiation oncology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He also has a master's degree in public health from UCLA.
