Elizabeth Keller Butker, MS, DABR, joined the Department of Radiation Oncology in 1988. She has been an Atlanta resident since 1972. She is skilled at total body irradiation and brachytherapy, including eye plaques, prostate seed implants and high-dose rate procedures. Elizabeth is actively involved in clinical physics procedures and quality assurance procedures within the department. She assists in the teaching of radiation oncology residents at Emory and medical physics students at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Elizabeth graduated magna cum laude from Smith College with a BA in Chemistry in 1985 then received her MS in Health Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her certification in 1991 from the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.
Elizabeth and her husband, Harrison, have two beautiful children that constantly remind them to stay fit and be healthy. Spinning, running and attending their children’s sporting events occupy most of their non-working time.
