Matt Giles, MS, DABR, joined the department as clinical medical physicist in 2016. He earned his BS in physics from the University of North Georgia in 2008 where he was recognized as Outstanding Graduating Physicist, and in 2010 received a MS in Medical Physics from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He received certification from the American Board of Radiology in 2014. Prior to joining Emory, he served as a clinical physicist in the North Georgia area for 6 years.
Matt currently works as a clinical physicist at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital where he is active in all areas of Radiation Oncology. His clinical and research interests include Gamma Knife radiosurgery, HDR brachytherapy, film dosimetry, and developing automated quality assurance applications.
