Christie Shackelford Jarrio, MS, DABR, is a Radiation Oncology Physicist II in the Department of Radiation Oncology. She received his certification from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Medical Physics in 2009.
Her research interests include:
- Calibration, testing, and clinical support for Varian linear accelerators,
- Quality Assurance for accelerators, HDR units, simulators, CT simulators, treatment plans, and patient charts and
- Treatment planning for VMAT (RapidArcTM), IMRT and HDR procedures.
She holds an MS in Medical Physics and an MS in Physics as well as a BS in Physics. She was an optical design engineer prior to her work as a physicist. She is an Atlanta native, lives with her husband Marty near Tucker and enjoys travel and photography.
