Arsalan Siddiqi earned his MS degree in Medical Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. He started at Emory in 2010 as the first Medical Physics Resident. After completing his residency training, he joined the department as a physicist.
He received his certification from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Medical Physics in 2014. His research interests include developing tissue-equivalent radio-sensitive and heat-sensitive gel dosimeters for three dimensional dosimetry. He has published on using gold nanoparticles for local dose enhancement and using gold nano-particles for x-ray fluorescence computed tomography (XFCT). In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring Medical Physics Residents and students. He also assists in teaching physics to residents and to radiation therapy students at Grady Memorial Hospital. He is an active member of AAPM and ASTRO.
